The arts ecosystem relies heavily on the invisible labour of administrators, preparators, technicians, collections and tradespeople that maintain their own visual arts practices– all while upholding the dwellings that house exhibitions, residencies and educational institutions, offering them support and care. Without the essential work of skilled artists, our spaces would be lacking bones beneath their flesh. FRAMEWORK recognizes the extensive training, passion and technical expertise brought to our community by a select group of interdisciplinary artists residing in different cities throughout Alberta.
